Current Favorite | Hair Conditioner

Hello out there, hope you're having a good day. It feels like I haven't posted on the blog since forever. So here I am, with a series of posts that I'm about to start. I decided to do this series with the title 'current favorite', which is self explanatory, I'd be sharing anything beauty and non-beauty related that I'm loving at the moment. I know people share that on their monthly favorite posts, but when I like something I stick to it and does not change it on monthly basis, that's why I couldn't start that kind of  posts because most of the time I end up having a particular favorite for months :) and hence, I decided to do this series to share with you guys a single product that I've been loving at the moment. So for the very first post in this series I decided to share my current favorite conditioner: Dove hair therapy color care conditioner.

I have color treated hair and I used the L'Oreal color treated conditioner for about 2 years and recently I was introduced to this Dove conditioner. I must say, for a hair conditioner, it smells heavenly. It smells like strawberries which is oh-so-good and the scent even lasts for quite a time after you wash it.
I've been using this conditioner for about 3 weeks and it has become my favorite ever since. For starters, it makes my hair frizz-free, I mean a conditioner that smells nice and makes your hair frizz-free... shut up and take my money! haha. I've been dyeing my hair for quite a long time now and well everything comes with a price, my hair has become very frizzy over the years. Without blow drying or straightening, my hair is a mess. But this baby just saves me all the trouble of using extra heat on my hair, I towel dry my hair, put some leave in conditioner and I'm good to go. Also it makes my hair soft and I can actually see shine in my dull-lifeless hair. The texture, like most of the conditioners, is thick and white in color.
I can not really say if it lives up to this claim: 'nourishes hair to keep color vibrant for up to 8 weeks', because I've used it for about 3 weeks now. But I'm pretty sure it won't disappoint me. To sum it up, Dove knows that everyone's hair is different and they also know how to make you love your hair.
Thanks for reading :)

DMGM Skin Primer - Review

Hello my lovelies, hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. Today I am going to review the DMGM skin primer.

The product claims:
Fixes your make up and makes it long - lasting.
Blots away excess oil and makes your skin look completely matte.
Advanced water proof formula provides a protective film on the skin.
Moisturizes and gives the skin a soft and velvety touch.
Minimizes the enlarged pores and appearance of lines.
Use before foundation for perfect complexion. Suitable for all skin types.

Application tips:
Minimizes the enlarged pores and appearance of lines.Use before foundation for perfect complexion.

In my opinion:
I never really felt the need to buy a primer, thanks to my dry skin which never gets oily. I went to Al-Fatah to buy a new face powder, and the DMGM lady (if that's what you call her, heh) introduced me to this baby. She applied it on the back of my hand and that very moment, I knew I had to get it.
The DMGM skin primer comes in a small rectangular tube. The mouth of the tube is small, so you don't have to worry about the leakage. The primer is transparent, odorless and has a gel like consistency which absorbs in no time. What I love most is that it gives my skin a velvety touch and makes it easy for me to apply the foundation.
The primer also claims to minimizes enlarged pores and reduce fine lines and this claim is true to some extent. It gives my skin a matte look and did not not make my skin break out *thumbs up for that*.
I take a small amount, apply it to the face and let it absorb for 10-15 seconds, then apply the foundation.
Although this skin primer is a bit expensive but I love what it does to my skin. I usually wear face powder on daily basis and I use this primer before applying the powder just to absorb any extra oil from my face and for that velvety touch..can't get enough of it. This skin primer is suitable for all skin types and works best for both liquid and powder foundation.

Summary:
You should totally give this primer a try if you've got oily/normal skin. It prepares a smooth canvas to apply the foundation and makes your makeup last for longer. It is transparent & odorless. Reduces fine lines and minimizes pores to some extent. Also, it gives your face a velvety touch.

Price? Would I repurchase it?
I got it for 1200PKR ($11). Yes, I would repurchase it.

The Good:
Gives a matte look
Evens out your skin
Makes your skin soft & velvety
Odorless
Suitable for all skin types
Makeup lasts longer

The Bad:
Pricey for the quantity

Rating: 4/5

thanks for reading, hope you liked it :) What's your favorite skin primer?

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick - Shocking Coral | Review

Hello lovelies ,today I'm here with yet another lipstick review. I heard so many people raving about Maybelline color sensational vivid lipsticks so I decided to try it myself.

Why you’ll love it:
-Be bright and gorgeous
-Exclusive vivid colors are brighter
-Honey nectar formula nourishes lips

For best results:
Apply lip color starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edge of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glides across the entire bottom lip.

 In my opinion:
I wanted to get shocking coral but had a hard time deciding whether or not to order it because the shade appeared different in every online swatch, somewhere it appeared pinkish coral and somewhere shocking pink. But I decided to order it anyway; I mean who wouldn’t want a shocking coral in their lipstick collection. The color of the lipstick tube is pink with a hint of coral, but when I applied it to the lips it appeared more of neon pink, the kind of neon-pink that instantly brightens up your face. The shade is super gorgeous.
The honey nectar formula is really moisturizing and the best part for me is that I don’t have to apply a lip balm underneath. It glides smoothly on the lips and gives a sheer look. The lipstick is pigmented and you can get the color in just one swipe, and it’s buildable as well. It gives a semi matte finish, and doesn’t dry my lips at all.
I’m pretty impressed by the staying power; it lasted on my lips for about 7-8 hours. And it fades evenly leaving a pink tint which also lasts for an hour. The lipstick does not bleed and stays in place which is fantastic.
I adore the packaging, it is simple and cute. It comes in a sleek silver tube with a transparent colored lip which is see through. The fact which makes it super handy is that it also has a mirror on one end.The Maybelline color sensational vivid lipsticks come in 10 different shades.
This lipstick smells like soft vanilla and I just love this smell. The smell lasts for around an hour, so you don’t have to worry if you’re not into vanilla scent. I feel like this shade is perfect for spring and summer and I won’t be wearing it that often this season, because I prefer darker colors for the winter. But all in all, I heart this lipstick and I totally recommend it.

Summary:
Gorgeous pink color: it is bright but not too screaming. It comes in a silver sleek tube, with a transparent lip. Stays on the lips for about 7-8 hours and fades evenly. Feels creamy and honey nectar formula nourishes lips. . It's a good pick for a drugstore lipstick.

The Good:

Bright pink color,
Glides on smoothly,
Semi-matt finish,
Buildable,
Pigmented,
Smells like vanilla,
Fades evenly,
Great staying power

The Bad:
Can't think of anything

Rating:  5/5

Price? Would I repurchase it?
I got it 825PKR. Definitely going to repurchase it.
