OOTD | Fall Inspired

Hello my lovelies, hope you’re having a wonderful day.
Fall is finally here! Well, for most of us. It’s still summer where I live -_- but I thought, you know what, I need to do a fall inspired post because I am so tired of this heat and I want fall to come already! Don’t you love the feeling of going outside wearing makeup and not sweating like a pig, drinking hot chocolate, over sized sweaters, long boot and oh the colors of fall!
Everything changes according to the season and so does the colors we wear. Spring/summer brings bright-neon colors and fall inspired outfits are mainly dark and neutral colored, which I absolutely love. I’ve always been a sucker for dark colors and fall is a legitimate reason for me to wear my favorite colors.
So today I decided to share my outfit which is inspired by the beautiful colors of fall.

One more thing that reminds me of fall….The Vampire Dairies! Oh yes. The color theme used in this series always reminds me of fall. And I just can not wait for season4.

What I wore:
Shirt | Breakout
Printed tights | Stoneage
Watch | Westar
Shoes | Choice Shoes
Purse | Stylo

Thanks for reading, hope you liked it :) What do you like most about fall?

The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumice Foot Scrub | Review

Product description:
Best if you want to: Rock on with a gel-based scrub that uses exfoliating volcanic rock to slough off rough, callused skin for soft, sandal-worthy feet.
Best for: all skin types

How it works:
-Community Trade peppermint oil promotes a cooling sensation to leave feet feeling refreshed and helps to combat odor.
-Pumice granules from volcanic rock are intensely exfoliating to smooth and soften even the roughest skin.
-Menthol further cools skin to leave it feeling refreshed.

In my opinion:
Today I decided to review the only foot scrub that I've used so far. I don't pamper my feet, normally I get a pedicure once a month and I believe that's enough treat for the feet. I just feel like pampering the feet takes a lot of my time, and ain't nobody got time for that, heh. Once upon a time in January 2013, I went to The Body Shop sale and ended up getting quite a lot of stuff including some products from the Body Shop Peppermint Foot range (foot scrub, foot cooling lotion and foot spray)
Now Let's jump into the review.
I bought these products without smelling them and I totally regret doing it. It has a strong peppermint smell and I'm allergic to such smells so I end up sneezing every time I open the jar.
I bought it in January but actually started using it in June and I'm loving the results so far. The scrub comes in a round blue colored jar which reminds me of the ocean every time I look at it. The scrub is pale grey colored and it has few random black beads in it. The consistency is quite thick and feels more like a jelly. I don't know why but for some reason TBS decided to make the beads/granules in the scrub quite harsh (There's a reason they're called granules from volcanic rock, heh). I get a burning sensation when I scrub it on the top of my feet, but it doesn't leave any rash so I can work with it. I use it almost every weekend, what I do is soak my feet in a tub filled with luke warm water for about 15 minutes and then scrub it like a boss. After drying my feet, I apply The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion.

What it does to my feet:
It cleans and refreshes my feet and exfoliates the dead skin cells leaving them soft. Although the beads are harsh but they work quite well for cleaning the feet. The smell, which feels over whelming to me (but everyone else seems to like it for some reason), fades with the time. You only need a small amount of the scrub and it foams well.

The Good:
Cleans and refreshes tired feet
Peppermint smell
A little goes a long way
Makes feet really soft
Not tested on animals
Easily available at TBS stores

The Bad:
Peppermint smell (for me it's BAD!)
Comes in a jar, not hygenic
It dries out after some time
A little pricey
Granules feels really harsh (For reference, I have sensitive skin)
Contains Sulfate and Alcohal

Would I repurchase it? Price?
I don't think so. I love what it does to my feet but I'm sooo not a fan of the peppermint smell. I would like to try other foot scrubs that TBS have. About the price, I don't really remeber because I bought quite a lot of stuff in that sale and it was 8 months ago. But according to TBS website, the original price for this peppermint scrub is £7/100ml.

Rating: 3.5/5

Medora by London Matte Lipstick - Real Red 203 | Review

Hello lovelies, I’m back with another lip product review, and this time I chose Real Red of Medora by London. If you live in Pakistan and you’ve never heard of Medora, then you’ve probably been living under a rock. Medora by London used to be the only famous makeup brand until the international brands invaded our cosmetic market. Medora by London has a wide range of beautiful lipstick shades.

In my opinion:

This lipstick comes in a dark grey color packaging, and to be honest I really don’t like it. It’s dull and so not appealing. I know they say ‘looks’ doesn’t matter but sometimes I end up buying cosmetics just because of their colorful packaging *guilty*. Medora should really do something about their lipstick packaging.
I’ve been on a hunt for a matt maroon lipstick and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on it because I wasn’t sure if I could pull off the bold color. I searched online and found Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 107 which is almost similar to this shade. But before I could order, I met Medora!
This is the mattest of the matt lipsticks, if you know what I mean. I’ve been wearing this shade a lot recently. For the day time, when I don’t feel like wearing a bold lip color I simply dab it on my lips and spread using my finger. The staying power of this lipstick is something that cannot be ignored, it stays on my lips for 7-8 hours after eating and drinking….what more do we want from a lipstick! I have dry lips so before applying it, I apply lip balm on my lips and then apply the lipstick. This helps me with the application and doesn’t chap my lips. You could also use a lip liner before applying the lipstick. Honestly I never understood the function of a lip liner but it works for most people so use it if it makes the application easy for you.

Price? Would I repurchase it?
100PKR. Makes you feel like you’re still living in the 90s, eh? Nothing can beat the price. If you’re afraid to try a dark shade on your lips and think that you might end up spending a lot of money and not liking how it looks on you, I would suggest spending 100PKR on this lipstick to do the experiment.  And yes, I’m definitely going to repurchase it.

The good:
Great staying power
Matt finish
Easily available
Affordable price

The Bad:
Might dry your lips
Packaging not appealing at all

Rating: 4.5/5   (-0.5 for the packaging)
